Interesting Fact: Marcelene is an indie voice actor, has played the viola for seven years, enjoys photography, loves baking, and has played soccer for eight years.

About Khi: 

Our 26th Miss Silverdale, Marcelene is sincere, outgoing, and strong. A senior at Central Kitsap High School and a Running Start student at Olympic College, Marcelene has embraced academic challenges while continuing to grow as a leader, musician, and advocate. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Central Kitsap High School’s Advanced Orchestra, where she shares her passion for music by educating and mentoring younger orchestra students from Central Kitsap Middle School, helping them develop their skills and confidence. Before advancing to the Advanced Orchestra, Marcelene served as a section leader for the Kitsap Philharmonic’s Intermediate Orchestra, demonstrating her dedication, teamwork, and commitment to supporting those around her.

Marcelene’s platform, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, reflects her passion for creating awareness and reminding others that it is okay to not be okay. Through her own mental health journey, she has developed resilience, compassion, and a desire to connect with others who may be facing difficult challenges. She hopes to use her voice to share her story, encourage open conversations, and show others that healing and hope are possible. Her future goal of becoming a psychiatrist reflects her commitment to helping others through mental health care and advocacy.
